The KIngdom of Heaven is like:

Matthew 25: 1-13; Paraphrased
Ten virgins took their oil lamps to meet the bridegroom. With their oil lamps burning, the virgins slept; while the bridegroom tarried. At midnight, the bridegroom was coming; five of the virgins were wise, they brought extra oil with them; prepared for the delay of the bridegroom; however, the other five virgins were unprepared for the bridegrooms delay and they let their oil lamps burn out while they slept. They pleaded with the five wise virgins: "share your oil"; but the five wise could not share or they themselves would be left out; so the five foolish virgins had to run to the market to buy more oil. In the meantime, the wise virgins were ready when the bridegroom came to receive His bride; they were allowed to enter into the prepared house with the bridegroom.When the five foolish virgins returned, the door was closed to them; they cried: "Lord, Lord, let us in, open the door for us". The bridegroom, sadly replied: I do not know you.

The moral of the story is to: Be watchful, be prepared for you know not when the Son of Man (Jesus) will return for His bride.
